We had our first adventure with professional portraits when the babies turned 4 months old. Things went pretty well even though the babies were super tired and about 1.5 hours after their nap time, but we ended up getting some really great shots! The babies have changed so much over the last month, they each have their own different personality and likes and dislikes too! They are growing up so fast.
Alittle bit about Benjamin:
Ben is a little flirt eveytime people talk to him whether it be at home or when we are out and about he always gives a little smile with his cute little dimples and sometimes even raises and eyebrow! He is very much a momma's boy (sorry daddy!), and VERY sensitive! It is very cute when he gets his little sad face with a big pouty lip, sometimes we fall for it but not always! =) Ben is a big boy at his 4 month check up he was 13lbs 3 oz and 23 inches long. He is doing great at tummy time lifting his head but does not like it for very long, he stands with help for a few seconds, he coos, smiles and really looks at us now! He has also recently found his hands and brings them to his mouth. What a big boy!
Alittle bit about Blake:
Blake is definatley a funny baby, he has the best facial expressions when he is happy or sad, his smile could make you laugh no matter what kind of mood you are in! Blake is content with mommy or daddy or pretty much anyone who will hold him, but he does like his independent time too. He likes to have things his way or no way and is very impatient especially when it comes to food, when he wants to eat you better have it ready! Lol! He loves to coo and smile alot too! Blake is growing well at his 4 month check up he was 11lbs 10oz and 21 inches long. He really likes to be on his back staring at a picture of the 3 of them, he will coo at that picture for a long time! He has been able to get his thumb in his mouth a few times and loves to suck on his fists.
Alittle bit about Brooklynn:
Brooklynn is very much a princess! She is extremely talkative and smiley, she engages very well when we talk to her! She likes tummytime and will stay there for about 5-10 mins very content but then wants to be turned over to her back so she can talk to our celing fan we call it her "Fan Friend". She smiles and squeals at our fan like it is a funny movie! She loves to be snuggled by mommy or daddy, and she also recognizes us when we go into her room and she greets us with a sweet smile and coos. She can be a little stinker when she is overly tired and will fight naptime by crying VERY loud for about 2 mins, then falls fast asleep, it is very amusing. At her 4 month check up she was 10lbs 8oz and 22 inches long. She is still the smallest but growing very fast!
It seems like yesterday that I was still on bedrest trying to hold them in for as long as possible. Both Carl & I look at them and think how could we be so lucky to have 3 beautiful, healthy children. We could not be prouder parents if we tried!
