Adventures with ice!

Today we took out our new mesh food holders! We have not put any food in them yet, but today we decided to put some ice cubes in them since the babies have been chewing on everything! they loved them and chewed on them until the ice was completely melted and their clothes were soaking wet! They are growing up so fast! Enjoy these photos!

They joy of finding their voices!

All 3 babies were laying under their playmat when Benjamin saw himself in the mirror and would not stop screaming! It was so funny, if you watch closely in the begining of the video I start giggling a little bit and he looks at me smiles and continues to scream! I love my big boy!

Becoming aware of their surroundings

Carl and I were in the kitchen cleaning up when we hear a giggle........ We look into the living room and Blake is making funny noises and each time he does Brooklynn is laughing at him! She has really been aware of her brothers being around and is now starting to interact with them, the boys are also noticing they are not the only ones and flash a smile towards one another. We quickly grabbed the camera and recorded this truly funny moment! Enjoy!

Looking back on how far we have come....A Mommy moment

Ok so this blog enry is going to be a sappy one!!!

I look at our precious babies each and everyday thinking how lucky we are to have 3 healthy, beautiful babies. When I look back and think about my pregnancy and the obstacles that we overcame it truly was a miracle!
I can remember the day that we found out we were having 3 babies, I was alone in the ultrasound room because Carl had to work. I remember feeling scared, nervous and happy all at the same time, the doctor could obviously see all my emotions and gave me a minute to get dressed and said he would return to speak to me. When he returned, I told him all my concerns which he listened too and then began to tell me alittle bit of how my pregnancy could go and the obstacles that we would probably run in to. We had ultrasounds every week up until week 13, where we then started to have our appointments in the Multiples clinic. I was very sick early on and it lasted until about 18 weeks, I remember thinking "is this over yet??".
Right after my sickness went away and I started to feel normal, I was sadly admitted to the hospital because my cervix was less than half the length it was supposed to be! My mom and sister were visiting at the time, we were all very scared at what was going to happen........ I ended up being in that hospital for 3 1/2 months and every single minute was worth it!!! I know many of you have heard this story before, but I cant help but keep telling myself because I always want to remember what a miracle our babies truly are!
I was looking back on some pictures and can't believe how small they were! I can remember being wheeled into to NICU to see them for the first time, I saw Blake first and could not believe how stinkin cute he was, next was Brooklynn and then Ben. I remember we sat around for a while before we actually touched or held them. We held Ben first and he was so small and he looked just like daddy. We then held Brooke then Blake, they were so small and seemed to be so comfortable with us... just like they knew exactly who we were.
Now we have 3 smart, funny, adorable & sweet babies who constantly keep us going. By the end of each day we are throughly exhausted, but we enjoy every minute of it!

Most of Blakes pictures are blurry because her never stops moving! =)

Hey whats that????

Auntie Paula was my nurse while I was in the hospital on bedrest and we became very good friends while I was there. She comes to see the babies often and we also go visit her on our rounds at the hospital! The babies really showed that they remembered her today, which I know was a great feeling for her. Benjamin is a really big momma's boy and he ALWAYS cried when she held him, but not today he was very happy and jsut kept looking at her, it was very sweet! Brooklynn and Blake were very happy and smiley the whole time. They did get tired about 2 hours after she got there and ended up going down for a nap, then mommy needed to sleep too! Thanks auntie Paula for letting me take a nap! =) Her are some pictures of her visit!

Today I felt like being a photographer, so I took many, many photos and wanted to share a few! Hope you all enjoy!

New safe play area!

Ok so the babies are really starting to move! They are rolling constantly and they have started scooting backwards to. I went upstairs yesterday to grab some clothes for the day and I was gone about 5 mins, when I came back down they were all about 5-10 feet from where I left them! Little stinkers! =) So daddy and I created a new safe play area where we can put them when we have to do certain chores. They seem to enjoy it for now however I know that once they realize they are trapped it may not be the same!! =)
